WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL: LET GOD DO THE THINKING

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? Matthew 6:25-27 KJV

A lot of damages have been done to the human body and lives generally because we always try to figure out our lives by ourselves. People have died prematurely due to heart attacks and high blood pressure. Worst case scenario people had terminated that God given life in them by committing suicide. I read a gory story of a man who emptied a gallon of gasoline on himself and set himself ablaze, because he could neither afford tuition fees of his kids nor give his dead mum a proper burial. What terrible price men pay when they ignore the word of God.

If we are going to spend the remainder of our days on earth in health, peace and joy, we must listen to just what God says. To enjoy the full benefit of a product, it is advisable you adhere to the manufacturer’s instruction. We must adhere to the instructions of our creator because He designed us and is fully aware of our potentials; else we’ll malfunction and self-destruct. We were commanded not admonished, to take no thought or worry about the basic needs of life. How much more other complicated circumstances? If we are not to worry or think about how we’ll thrive, who does the thinking then? Isn’t it obvious yet that God does? Jeremiah 29:11.
Do your kids worry about what to eat and wear? No, they have you for that.  They only ask you to supply the request to their needs.

Allowing God be your Think-Tank will rescue you from many sleepless nights. Do not attempt to do God’s job because you’ll wear out in no time. It’s not in the job description of man to worry about the affairs of his life, his marriage, unemployment, health etc. Quit figuring things out, start giving it to God and you’ll get results. Two drivers cannot steer the wheel of a car at the same time. Let it go and God would latch unto it. Make sure you are giving up all your worries and thoughts to God daily because your health and life span depends on it.

STORY: A DIARY OF TWO STRANGERS CHAPTER 2

... I turned my back on her exiting the scene, she had first grabbed at her chest, seeming to rip out her heart but grabbed her stomach rather, as if to bring a child out of it, like an evidence to refute my last words. She went down on the floor with a howling cry. I could care less if she wept... I banged the door so loud, the neighbours should have jumped out of bed… but they didn’t ... T hinking about it in this lonely park, I resented this night, “why did I have to come home tonight?” I said out loud.

VACANCY: YOUR MARRIAGE NEEDS YOU

It is when a man understands submission that the little moments of quietness, the uneasy moments of saying, “I am sorry” and the walking away from a nagging wife saves his marriage. “Do not try to dictate to me! You are always trying to teach me what to do” the 73 year old man barked at his wife, before me and few others. The woman went quiet all through that night. As that scene played over and again in my heart I observe that we cannot attain to a place in marriage where submission fades. In marriages where submission is shown the front door, the bags of one of the couple would soon follow. Where submission is denied access to thrive, the man tends towards autocracy and the woman becomes manipulative and rebellious. Heated arguments, battery, excessive anger, unforgiveness and ultimately divorce; implies both partners are not submitting to one another. I am not blind to certain people and cultures that have great exaggeration and misconception of submission and its applicati

MYTH OR TRUTH: ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED PART II

WHAT THE APOSTLES TAUGHT Grace is Christ's finished work... until ourselves become the finished work... In part II we shall wholly consider what the apostles taught the early church, by the careful layout of their warnings. But before we do, I want you to keep in your heart the thought that warnings becomes a necessity where hazard is a reality. Let's begin from Hebrews.
